Project Origin - the New Face of F.e.a.r

There are very few games which send a shiver down our spine when playing them in their dark environment, those hardcore gaming fans know that there are a few who actually deliver the fear factor, these games are usually about something supernatural, they tend to have unusual settings, weird and violent creatures as well as scary ghosts.

The most remarkable game in this category is the famous game F.E.A.R. As many of you know this game delivered a lot of action, suspense and tension to those who played the entire game, especially when Alma crawled from cubicles or appeared in dark places, since these games are designed to deliver the ultimate shooter experience, players felt like they were the ones involved in it and this is why monsters which pop out of nowhere get to us.

Leaving the excellent factors that make F.E.A.R. such an incredible game we realize that in the end there were many questions unanswered and some things didn't make much sense, this is why people tried to explain the ending by socializing in message boards, the most common questions and issues brought to light are the appearance of Alma, the purpose and origin of the player as well as his brother; it all seems to fit at some point and comes apart right at the end.

In order to tie up those loose ends, the guys from Monolith decided to create a direct sequel of the game F.E.A.R. this one is called "Project Origin", the first game is actually owned by Vivendi Universal games but the sequel is controlled by Monolith.

Project Origin is said to start 30 minutes during the action shown in the first game (F.E.A.R.) before the final explosion, so this sequel will answer some of the questions which were left in the air during the culmination of the first game and will immediately show odd situations where new questions emerge.

The preview of the game is quite impressive and creepy as always so expect to see crawling monsters coming at you just like the final monster shown in the movie Resident Evil. Overall, this is a great game and its expected to be widely accepted as the original version was.
